Gary Conner

Sales Director

Gary trained in the IT industry with Computacenter, working in the Manchester distribution office as an account manager. Taking a senior position with the Independent IT Distributor European Micro plc in 1994 Gary was promoted to the board in 2000 and went on to Co lead a management buy out of the UK arm in 2001. Gary has successfully overseen the launch of the Professional Services division, offering installation, support and maintenance. This mix of product and services has lead to the £25m turnover Square 1 becoming IBM’s fastest growing business partner in 2007. Having identified an emerging need for alternative forms of finance in the current economic climate Gary co founded Square 1 Leasing and Finance Ltd in 2008.

Patrick Wyly

Financial Director

After qualifying in 1991 as a Chartered Management Accountant, Patrick worked for Blue Chip companies in the civil engineering, publishing and packaging industries before moving to independent IT distributor European Micro plc in 1996 as Financial Controller. A key member of the team that took European Micro to a successful Nasdaq listing in 1998, Patrick was promoted to the board in 2000. Co-leading the successful asset buy-out of European Micro in 2001, he is now Finance and Operations director at £25m turnover Square 1 Products Ltd. In 2008 he Co founded the rapidly growing Square 1 Leasing & Finance Ltd, providing asset based funding packages to both corporates and individuals.

Terry Dorricott

Technical Manager

In charge of our Technical Support team is our Technical Manager Terry Dorricott. Terry began his career twelve years ago with one of the biggest European Networking Distributors, working his way up to a senior account manager position responsible for a global ISP. He then changed his focus to Technical Presales and passed the highly regarded Cisco accreditation's CCNA and CCNP. Terry then moved and was part of a team who set up a new and highly successful division within another distributor before he came to Square 1. Along the way Terry has achieved numerous other highly regarded accreditation's in the network security and wireless technology sectors. Terry recently certified with IBM X- Series technical.

Simon Cummings

Square 1 Professional Services

The principle point of contact for all Professional Services enquiries is Simon Cummings who trained in the IT industry with Computacenter, working in the Manchester distribution office as an account manager. Moving to Independent IT Distributor European Micro plc in 1997 Simon pioneered the company’s expansion into Cisco products and more latterly developed and championed the Professional Services division.

Darren Aspinall

Head of AV Sales

With many years of working in various technology orientated area's, Darren's more recent experience has seen him as Digital Manager at Signlex Limited and Sector Manager for AV/VC at Colebrook Bosson Saunders. Darren brings a wealth of AV experince to Square 1 as he heads up the AV department and spearheads the development of brands such as Philips and Triumph.

With experience gained at distributors such as Northamber and Interface Solutions the team work closely with both Resellers and Distributors to ensure that Square 1 Products offers a value added approach over its competition.

Refurbished Sales

Our Refurbished Sales team have a wealth of knowledge gained through years of industry experience. Whether it’s Cisco, Juniper or another manufacturer, the team based at our bespoke premises near Reading ensure that our products are cleaned, tested, refurbished and repackaged (if required) to a very high standard. Backed up by our own Professional Services division who are ideal to help customers configure pre owned hardware, Square 1 Products are the perfect choice for Refurbished equipment.
